No. Drivana has no security deposit on any car, and you can pay with a debit or credit card. On some bookings (less than 6 hours ahead, Instant Booking or interest-free installments) the rental payment is held when you send the request. It is never an extra amount, and it is released if the host does not accept.
How no-deposit rental worksWe process the refund the same day. How long it takes to show in your account depends on your bank. It usually takes 5 to 10 business days, and depending on your bank and card type it can be as soon as 1 day. If that time passes and you don't see it, write to us and we will check it with you.
Every rental includes comprehensive GNP Seguros insurance (damage, total theft, liability, medical expenses and roadside assistance). If there is a claim, you cover the deductible (5% for damage, 10% for total theft) or the repair, whichever is lower. You only pay it if there is an incident. Nothing is charged or held in advance.
You get back everything you paid. You can keep it as Drivana points for your next rental or ask for a refund, whichever you prefer. And we help you find another car on WhatsApp.

Your payments are processed by Stripe, which holds the highest level of the card security standard (PCI DSS Level 1). Drivana does not store your full card number.

Rentar un carro en México es más complicado de lo que suele ser en cualquier otro lugar del mundo, sobre todo por los cargos ocultos, depósitos de seguridad y seguro vehicular. No existen cargos adicionales finales o cosas raras en las rentas, no uso tarjeta de crédito para depósitos anticipados ni nada de eso; los precios varían de acuerdo al vehículo, pero se encuentra todo desglosado al realizar la renta.
